Olivia Porter is an upbeat and enthusiastic speech pathologist instructor, hailing from the Windy City of Chicago. Olivia has a diverse background in accent modification, speech-language pathology, and acting for the screen and stage – all which make her an excellent communicator and coach.

Olivia discovered her passion for accent training while working as a corporate manager, where she saw firsthand the impact that clear and effective communication could have on personal relationships and professional advancement. She has since traveled the world, facilitating training workshops on over 20 communication and leadership topics, helping executives become better speakers and leaders.

Olivia is certified in Compton PESL Accent Modification and has an Advanced Certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Saint Mary’s College and Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication Disorders from Governors State University. Olivia also spent a memorable year in 2005 as a theater fellow at Oxford University developing her acting skills.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys volunteering to coach children in oratorical competitions and works as an actor in commercials and industrial films. Her talents as a presenter and actor were recognized in 2019 when she was invited to be one of the 10 speakers at TEDxChicago (watch her thought-provoking TED Talk here).
